The pitch is ruled by two enormous stands at either end, with the region square of the wicket paying for large grass banks for fans to sit on, though this may be less desirable during the sunny hours due to the lack of cover. There is no pavilion per se, with large dressing facilities under one of the stands, and teams view from within air-conditioned glass chambers.
Gaddafi Stadium
The Gaddafi Stadium, named for the former Libyan leader, was entirely refurbished in 1995–96 to prepare for the upcoming 1996 World Cup. The newly constructed stadium was created by Nayyar Ali Dada, who based it on the traditional Mughal school of red hand-laid bricks and archways.
